Don Quixote is the story of a love affair between  Kitri, an innkeeper’s daughter, and Basilio, the town barber, and their attempt to escape Kitri’s arranged marriage.  The scene quickly becomes one of confusion and comedy, taking place in the colorful streets of Spain.  Based on the novel by Miguel Cervantes Saavedra, the ballet comes to life with technically demanding dances and a lively cast of characters from Fresno Ballet Theatre with State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara.
